This client had a special landscape design request for me for their new home in Atlanta. The homeowners association for their neighborhood did not allow an in-ground pool. I was challenged to create a cohesive design that included an above ground pool that wasn’t a huge eye-sore.

To accomplish this, first I located the pool on the side of the property. Next, I used a custom stair design to break up the look of the large structure. The steps are multi-functional. They are deeper than normal stairs so they can be used to sit or sun and as a gathering spot. Functionality, safety, and beauty were all considered from the height of each step as well as the easy to maintain composite wood material.

I added extra trees for privacy as well as for their natural beauty. The full design included a patio with a bbq that is perfect for entertaining. I added lots of lighting to make sure the space is cozy well into the evening as well.
